Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of UltraFuel — the mobile app, the web app, and this website (together, the "Service"). UltraFuel ("UltraFuel", "we", "us") provides the Service to you subject to these Terms. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What UltraFuel is — and isn't

UltraFuel builds a personalized fueling and hydration picture from the training you log, and turns it into carbohydrate, fluid, and sodium ranges to guide your own training and race planning. These are informational ranges, not medical advice and not a prescription. UltraFuel is not a medical device, and we are not your doctor, dietitian, or coach. Always use your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional before making decisions about your nutrition, hydration, or health — especially if you have a medical condition or take medication.

Health, safety, and assumption of risk

Endurance training and ultramarathon racing carry inherent risks, including serious injury. You are solely responsible for your own health and safety and for how you use the guidance UltraFuel provides. Listen to your body, not just a number on a screen. If you feel unwell, stop and seek help. By using the Service you accept these risks and agree that you use UltraFuel's guidance at your own discretion and risk.

Your account

You need an account to use most features. Keep your login credentials secure and don't share your account. You're responsible for the activity under your account. Provide accurate information, and keep it current so your fueling ranges reflect reality. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service.

Acceptable use

Use the Service only for its intended purpose. Don't misuse it, interfere with its operation or security, attempt to access other users' data, reverse engineer or resell it, or use it to break the law. We may suspend or end access that violates these Terms or puts the Service or other users at risk.

Connected services

If you connect Strava, Health Connect, or Apple Health, your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and you authorize UltraFuel to read the workout summaries described in our Privacy Policy. We aren't responsible for third-party services, and they may change or limit what they share with us at any time.

Your content and data

The training and fueling data you create is yours. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, sync, and process it to operate the Service for you. You can export a full backup, and you can delete your account and data at any time — see our Privacy Policy for how.

Availability and changes

We're building UltraFuel actively and may add, change, or remove features. Some features are free during early access and may later be part of a paid tier. We may update the Service and these Terms; if we make material changes to the Terms, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept them.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of any guidance. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its ranges will suit your individual needs.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UltraFuel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service or its guidance. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including the disclaimers and limitation of liability — will survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Minnesota for any dispute that isn't resolved informally.
